Brew City got a terrific game from left fielder Xicoyotl Montalbán. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Amarillo, 5-4. Montalbán was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. AJ Dewdney earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. His record is now 1-0. Chatty Johnson picked up the save for Amarillo, his 1st of the year.
Hal Jordan chipped in for Amarillo, stroking a crucial run-scoring triple in the top of the eighth inning. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1-1 with a triple.
"Both teams played hard," said Amarillo manager .
The defeat makes Brew City 5-6.
