5-1 Loss Extends State College Skid
Starting pitcher Thor Lore was a major factor in the 5-1 California Firehawks triumph over the State College Swift Steeds . Getting the save was Jose Forty-Three 24/7, his 1st. The loss puts State College at 2-9.

The Firehawks got an important contribution from shortstop Dirks Kryptonite, who in the bottom of the second knocked a 0-1 fastball into center for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Firehawks ahead, 3-0.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Kryptonite told the California Bulletin.
