Swift Steeds Earn 4-3 Win Versus Armadillos
|
Led by D.W. Dogmaple, the State College Swift Steeds downed the Amarillo Armadillos, 4-3. Dogmaple was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Swift Steeds . Reliever Billy Jones picked up the win. His record improves to 1-1. Trongle Man took the loss. With the win, State College goes to 6-5.
Jordan Hill helped out the State College cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 2 with a double and a walk.
After the game, State College manager applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
