The Anchorage Wheelers took on the Kansas City Hepcats at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good.
The Anchorage Wheelers beat the Kansas City Hepcats, 7-5, at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good. Anchorage left fielder Keon Lennedy had an outstanding performance. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Anchorage pitcher Greg Buse got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Jofre Pines got the loss.
Anchorage used the timely hitting of Misty Morning to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Wheelers on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"What's not to like about a win?" said Morning.
Kansas City falls to 7-4.
