Chicago and Puerto Rico duked it out and the Kingpins came out victorious.
The Chicago Kingpins got a magnificent performance from pitcher Jazz Hands, who muffled the Puerto Rico offense en route to a tight, 3-0 Kingpins win at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium. The winning pitcher was Hands, now 1-0. He tossed 5 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 7.
The Kingpins got a big at-bat from catcher Emilian Vega. For the game, Vega was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Chicago a 2-0 lead.
"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Hands.
The Ranas, now 3-9, continue their inauspicious start.
