Bears Squelch Armadillos Offense in Shutout Win
|
Ryan Alvarez never let Amarillo get something going. The Brew City left-hander commanded his splitter in pitching the Bears to a 4-0 win. The Armadillos fall to 5-7 and continue their lackluster start to the 2067 season.
The Bears got an important contribution from second baseman AJ Boucher, who in the bottom of the third knocked a 1-2 fastball into right-center for a bases-clearing double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Bears ahead, 4-0.
Alvarez called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
