Walterson Powers Armadillos to 9-5 Win
The Amarillo Armadillos topped the Anchorage Wheelers by the score of 9-5, with the largest share of the credit going to first baseman Walter Walterson. Walterson was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Armadillos. Chatty Johnson earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. The win leaves Amarillo with a record of 8-4.

Amarillo used the timely hitting of Commander Warsmoke to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Armadillos on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
