The Kansas City Hepcats beat the Brew City Bears, 4-2. Kansas City pitcher and San Leandro, California, native Matt Buster led the way. Losses have been rare for the Bears, who are now 9-4.

Bobby Cru dealt the Bears a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Kansas City leading 1-0, Cru hit a first pitch cutter for a 2-run single.

"It's a mindset," said Buster. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
