California Earns 3-2 Win
|
The Louisville Lemurs and California Firehawks provided some drama for the home crowd.
The California Firehawks defeated the Louisville Lemurs, 3-2, at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle. California left fielder Jon Benis had a superb performance. He was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The win belonged to Cheii Armbanduhr in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Hank Hill took the loss for Louisville.
Ivagotta Dumper, who is tied for 3rd in the MiLPBE in home runs with 4, had a direct impact on the outcome. Dumper contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put California up, 3-2.
"It feels good to get this one," Benis told the California Today.
Losses have been few and far between for the Lemurs, now 10-3.
