Flamingos Pick Up 4-1 Win Over Amarillo
|
Florida pitcher Animal Kingdom did his part in helping his team beat the Amarillo Armadillos, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 6 innings, Kingdom surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. He allowed no runs. Losses have been rare for the Armadillos, who are now 9-4.
It could have been a different outcome for Florida, had it not been for Gator McGraw, the slick-fielding center fielder . McGraw contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put Florida up, 3-0.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Kingdom said after the game.
