Flamingos Squelch Firehawks Offense in Shutout Win
|
Wet weather did not postpone the Florida-California ballgame.
Florida got a strong outing from Stetson Mixon as the Flamingos defeated the California Firehawks, 4-0, at Florida Man Park. The Firehawks fall to 5-9 and continue their sputtering start to the 2075 season.
Alan Greer, who is tied for 9th in the MiLPBE in home runs with 3, chipped in a 3-run home run for Florida in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Greer, "one at-bat at a time."
