Victory Pushes Firehawks Record to 11-3
|
The California Firehawks faced a tough opponent in Florida pitcher Justin Izzo, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Florida Man Park by a final score of 4-3. Izzo went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. The Firehawks, now 11-3, have been sizzling early on.
Ivagotta Dumper, who is tied for 5th in the MiLPBE in bases on balls with 10, had a direct impact on the outcome. Dumper contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put California up, 4-3.
Dumper called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
