Raptors Clip Aviators, 5-4

The Boise Raptors downed the Outer Banks Aviators, 5-4. The hitting star was left fielder Romain Gauthier. Gauthier hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Raptors. Thunder Miller came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 3.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Outer Banks falls to 2-3.
The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Boise trailing 4-2, Gauthier jumped on a cutter from 2072 Rookie of the Year Award winner Doc Holliday and hit a 3-run home run to right. With one swing, the Raptors had a walk-off win.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Gauthier told the Boise Chronicle.
