It was a good day at Vaughn's House. The New York Voyagers whipped the Vancouver Vandals, 11-2, and center fielder Kries Von Kriestalhauser showed off a hot bat, going 5-for-6 at the plate.

"Some days, lady luck is on your side," Von Kriestalhauser told BNN reporters after the game.

Voyagers manager told the beat writers otherwise, calling the 29-year-old "focused and patient."

"It's not luck," he said. "He has a solid approach to hitting. Kries hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have."
