The Kansas City Hepcats faced a tough opponent in Anchorage pitcher Warren Peace, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Evil Dictator x Jose Forty-Three Best Friendship Ballpark by a final score of 4-3. Peace went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. Kansas City reliever Definitelynot Kevinchoate was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Willie MacDougal. The victory makes Kansas City 7-8.

Had Joe Getz not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Getz hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Hepcats.
