Joy Lifts Swift Steeds to 6-1 Triumph
The State College Swift Steeds dealt the Puerto Rico Ranas a 6-1 loss at Count Longardeaux's Strong Badian Dictionary Fo' My Own Words Stadium. Adam Joy was the star on offense. He was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Gabriel Priest earned the win for State College. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 8 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 2-1. At 10-6, the Swift Steeds have played well so far.

With State College leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Joy hit a sinker from Ottov Yeoj for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Swift Steeds ahead, 5-1.

"It feels good to get this one," Joy told the State College Today.
