Swift Steeds Deal Armadillos 12-5 Loss
The State College Swift Steeds beat the Amarillo Armadillos by a score of 12-5. State College shortstop Rice Shower deserved the lion's share of the credit. Shower was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Swift Steeds . Kris Rice got the win, improving to 4-0. He held the Armadillos to 3 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 1 and walking 2. Amarillo falls to 6-10.

In the first inning, Shower had a 2-run double for State College. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Swift Steeds on top, 5-0.
