Walterson Leads Armadillos to 8-3 Win Over Wheelers
|
The Amarillo Armadillos defeated the Anchorage Wheelers, 8-3. Doing his part was third baseman Walter Walterson, who was 4-4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The winner in relief was Aaron Ritter. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. The Armadillos, now 11-5, have been playing some good baseball.
Kries Von Kriestalhauser, the 21-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Von Kriestalhauser contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Amarillo up, 5-2.
