Sloths Slap 4-0 Loss on Outer Banks
|
The San Antonio Sloths topped the Outer Banks Aviators, 4-0, in Legends Conference action at The Island. The standout performance belonged to San Antonio pitcher and Atlanta, Georgia, native Leonidas Longpipe. Longpipe picked up the win for San Antonio, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 6-1. Picking up the save was Cybernetically Enhanced RoboDibble, his 6th.
San Antonio used a clutch at-bat from Malcolm Kell to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Sloths ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Leonidas kept his poise and got the job done," said San Antonio manager . "He was outstanding."
The Sloths saw their win-loss record go to 18-20. At the same time, the Aviators fell to 13-25.
