The Death Valley Scorpions downed the Cancun Toros, 8-2, at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. Bass Reeves led the way, going 2-for-4 for Death Valley. Guy Roussy, the winner, goes to 6-2. The Scorpions got a big at-bat from left fielder Smalls. For the game, Smalls went 2-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 14th double of the season gave Death Valley a 3-2 lead.
