Fans of the Vancouver Vandals who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Vancouver win over the visiting San Antonio Sloths, 2-1. Holly Sheet started for the home team against Leonidas Longpipe. Holly Sheet earned accolades for his performance. Alejandro Abasi earned the save, his 1st.

In the bottom of the sixth, Vancouver right fielder Pierre Phillip gave his team the lead. With one out and a runner on 1st, Treasure hit his 1st home run of the year. San Antonio pitcher Leonidas Longpipe surrendered it. With that, the Vandals jumped in front, 2-1.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," San Antonio manager said, following the tough loss.
