Buffalo parlayed a decent outing from starter Barto O'Colon into a solid win over the Vancouver Vandals. The final score was 6-2. The Surge sport a record of 17-26.

Emidas Blair had a big 3-run home run for the Surge in the top of the first inning. With Buffalo leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a cutter from Chuck Nasty, who is a two-time All-Star, and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Surge on top, 6-0.
