Scorpions Tag Demons with 3-1 Loss
|
Spirited fans greeted the Detroit Demons for their clash with the Death Valley Scorpions.
In a low-scoring contest between the Death Valley Scorpions and the Detroit Demons, Always A. Bummus, who is tied for 10th in the Champions with a 3.89 ERA, proved to be the difference. The Death Valley left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-1 Scorpions win. Ray Xavier, who is a four-time All-Star, earned the save for Death Valley.
The Scorpions got a big at-bat from first baseman Launch Angle. For the game, Angle was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Death Valley a 2-0 lead.
"Always A. made some good pitches in some situations he needed to make them in," said Death Valley manager .
The Scorpions have an impressive 31-12 record.
