The Providence Crabs picked up a win at The Pot, knocking off the Vancouver Vandals, 8-1. Starting pitcher Joe Random was a big reason why. The Crabs have an impressive 35-9 record.

The Vandals had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Crabs going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the five-time Gold Glove Award winner Cassius Considerations came to the plate. Considerations hit a grand slam home run on a 1-2 cutter from Vancouver hurler Andy Beans. It was Considerations's 5th home run of the year.
