Scorpions Rack Up 5-3 Win Versus Indianapolis
|
Cari Price Memorial Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Indianapolis Apex and Death Valley Scorpions.
Despite a great performance by Indianapolis second baseman Dee Fernandez Jr., the Death Valley Scorpions defeated the Apex by the score of 5-3 at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. Fernandez Jr. was 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. Always A. Bummus got the save, the 7th for him this season.
Designated Hitter Sting Eucliffe made an impact for Death Valley, when he swatted a 2-run double off Xavier Pruitt in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Eucliffe went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Winning never gets dull," said Eucliffe.
The Death Valley win streak is now 3 games.
