Voyagers Trip Sloths, 2-1, in Extra Innings
|
The New York Voyagers racked up a win at Vaughn's House, bumping off the San Antonio Sloths, 2-1, in 16 innings. Joey Moose Jr., who started for New York, pitched effectively for his team. The win belonged to John Wittman in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Olli Erikkson took the loss for San Antonio. The first-place Voyagers have won 4 in a row.
The Voyagers got a clutch hit from center fielder Kries Von Kriestalhauser. In the bottom of the 16th, he hit a run-scoring single to left, to win the game for the Voyagers.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Von Kriestalhauser.
