The first-place Providence Crabs picked up another win.

The Providence Crabs defeated the Vancouver Vandals, 12-5, at The Pot. Providence first baseman Beryl Summers had a superb performance. He was 1-2 with a double and 3 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The Legends Conference East-leading Crabs have a record of 36-9.

Seymour Baltz had a big 3-run home run for the Crabs in the bottom of the third inning. With Providence leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a screwball from Chuck Nasty, who finished 3rd in the Legends in ERA with 3.64 in 2071, and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the Crabs on top, 4-0.

"It's nice to see a lot of guys make contributions," said Crabs manager .
