Buffalo got a terrific game from designated hitter Jazzy Thompson. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Boise, 7-6. Thompson was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. PK-VS got the win, improving to 8-2. He held the Surge to 4 runs on 5 hits over 7.2 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 2. The win has Boise at 17-28.

In the top of the sixth, Boise second baseman Sidney Hughes had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Hughes stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 5-2, Boise. For the game, he went 1 for 3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

Hughes told a Boise Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
