Both teams had their chances, but the Vancouver Vandals eventually prevailed.
Boise got a terrific game from catcher Rodrigo Wallach. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Vancouver, 7-6. Wallach went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Jackson Kidd earned the save for Vancouver.
Steven Strange, who led the Legends in runs with 99 in 2075, had a timely hit in the top of the fifth inning. With two out and a runner on 2nd, the Vancouver center fielder hit a run-scoring single. That put the Vandals in front, 1-0.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Strange, "one at-bat at a time."
Vancouver is 21-25 and Boise, with the loss, 22-24.
