The Toronto Pathfinders wasted an inspired, 8-inning effort from starter Stetson Mixon, falling, 2-1, to the Vancouver Vandals at The Thunderdome. The winner in relief was Jackson Ramirez. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. The losing streak for Toronto has now reached 7 games.

The decisive blow was delivered by Atlas Sluggs in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off fireballing right-hander "Fire" Aaron Boone to win the game for Vancouver. The home crowd went nuts.

"What's not to like about a win?" said Sluggs.
