Pathfinders Pick Up 5-4 Win Against San Antonio
|
The Toronto Pathfinders beat the San Antonio Sloths, 5-4, in part because of second baseman Palin Drome. He was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs. Jihmih Beniko was the winner. Over 5 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts. The save went to Smoki Zazaki, number 2 for him.
With the game tied, 3-3, in the top of the sixth, Drome had a key at-bat for Toronto. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Drome hit a 2-run single off Anthony Stover, making the score 5-3, Pathfinders.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Drome.
The triumph makes Toronto 14-33.
