Death Valley Scorpions starter Cy Duck kept the Cancun Toros hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. The Scorpions now have a record of 23-24 with the win over Cancun.

Death Valley relied on the hitting of Green-Chilaquil Phan to pick up the win. The second baseman ripped a bases-clearing triple in the top of the fourth inning to put the Scorpions on top, 3-1. For the game, Phan had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I'm happy we won," said Duck. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
