Vandals Bridle Surge, 2-1
|
Buffalo wasted a solid 6-inning effort from starting pitcher Ren Toltraid, losing to Vancouver, 2-1, at The Power House. M4XX V3L0 locked down his 3rd save. With the win, Vancouver lifts its record to 5-1.
Vancouver used the bat of Pierre Phillip to capture the win. The left fielder jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Vandals ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"The old adage is true," said Phillip. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
