Vandals Earn Late 6-5 Win
|
Vancouver Vandals starter Holly Sheet found his groove in his team's 6-5 win over the Outer Banks Aviators. The win puts Vancouver at 33-16 this season.
McLovin Jr. went 1 for 2 with 2 walks. He scored 2 runs for Vancouver. With no one out and the game tied in the top of the tenth inning, McLovin Jr., who finished 5th in the Legends in on-base percentage with .385 in 2071, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Outer Banks hurler Zach Voss, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Vandals a 6-5 lead.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant , the Vancouver manager.
