Cari Price Memorial Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Death Valley Scorpions and Detroit Demons.

The Death Valley Scorpions weathered an outstanding game by Detroit second baseman Razmataz Buckshank to topple the Demons, 5-4. Buckshank was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Femini Nomenon got the win, improving to 2-0. He worked 5 innings, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. Ray Xavier closed the door for Death Valley, picking up his 1st save of the year.

The Scorpions got a big at-bat from first baseman Ted Giannoulas. For the game, Giannoulas was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Death Valley a 5-2 lead.

"This was a good win," said Giannoulas.
