The Providence Crabs spoiled a good performance by San Antonio designated hitter Stetson Laramie, bumping off San Antonio, 8-4, at The Treehouse. Laramie hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Iceman, the winner, improved to 5-3. He held San Antonio to 3 runs on 3 hits over 7.1 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. The win puts Providence at 31-18 this season.

Providence used a clutch at-bat from Migs Mayfeld to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Crabs ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Mayfeld.
