Cancun pitcher Pedro Martini did his part in helping his team beat the Detroit Demons, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Martini got the win, improving to 4-4. He gave up 3 hits and walked 3 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Samuel Smoltz recorded his 6th save for Cancun.

Early in the game, left fielder Myles Meredith had a 2-run double for Cancun. It was his 16th double of the season and put the Toros on top, 3-1.
