The Providence Crabs locked up a win at Hammond Park, knocking off the Boise Raptors, 2-0. On the mound for Providence was left-hander Count Crabula. He played a major role in the triumph. Crabula, the winner, moves to 8-2. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 3 walks. Dr. Hubert Malbec earned the save, his 3rd, for the Crabs.

Beryl Summers, who is tied for 4th in the Legends in home runs with 11, had a direct impact on the outcome. Summers contributed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put Providence up, 1-0.
