Demons Rally to Nose Past Cancun
The 4-3 Detroit win over Cancun was due largely to Alpha Nerd. The Demons first baseman was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Swingand Amiss earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-1. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Thorne Belfour.

Nerd had a timely hit for Detroit in the top of the sixth. With Detroit trailing 2-0, he turned a 0-1 circle change into a bases-clearing double. It was his 3rd double of the season, making it 3-2, Detroit.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Nerd.

The win gives Detroit a record of 3-3.
