Vancouver Roughed Up By Apex
|
The Vancouver Vandals and Indianapolis Apex were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 30-year old second baseman Enderman, the Indianapolis Apex stopped the Vancouver Vandals, 8-1. Romeo McFlourish was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 1 run on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 7 strikeouts.
Chef Gagne, the slick-fielding center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Gagne contributed a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put Indianapolis up, 3-1.
"It was a solid team effort," said Enderman after the game.
The Apex' win now puts them at 29-23.
