Pathfinders Suffer 6-4 Road Loss
|
The New Orleans Rougarous picked up a win at Full Moon Stadium, topping the Toronto Pathfinders, 6-4. On the mound for New Orleans was left-hander Dash Jackson. He played a principal role in the triumph. Jackson, now 3-7, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 4 runs. The victory puts New Orleans at 19-34.
The Rougarous got a big at-bat from center fielder Where Wolf. For the game, Wolf was 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 11th double of the season gave New Orleans a 5-4 lead.
In postgame comments to the New Orleans Herald, Wolf said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
