Amarillo beat Puerto Rico on the strength of starter Aria Bluesky's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 2-1. In 7.1 innings, Bluesky surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. The save went to Chatty Johnson, his 4th this season.

The Armadillos got a big at-bat from catcher Brian Payne. For the game, Payne went 1 for 4 with a home run. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Amarillo a 2-1 lead.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Amarillo manager said.
