Kingpins Get Past Brew City for 8-7 Win
|
The 8-7 Chicago win over Brew City was due largely to El Grande Mexicano. The Kingpins third baseman was 2-4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Bodhi Grizz picked up the save for Chicago, his 5th of the year. The loss puts Brew City at 12-7.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the ninth, with the game tied, Tank Fromas was at the plate when Chicago scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Kingpins to go in front, 8-7.
"Young guys to old guys," said Fromas, "we're all going out there and doing what it takes to win."
