Anchorage turned a good effort from starter Harlem Moncrief into a win over the California Firehawks at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons. The final score was 2-0. Moncrief, the winner, moves to 2-2. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 3 walks. The save was credited to Leegull Iztampuring, his 2nd.
Ricardo Lomero II, the 24-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Lomero II contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Anchorage up, 1-0.
