The Death Valley Scorpions knocked off the Boise Raptors, 9-3, in Champions Conference action at Hammond Park. Death Valley pitcher and Sarasota, Florida, native Deviver Votto had an outstanding performance. The win puts Death Valley at 7-0.

Launch Angle had a big 2-run double for the Scorpions in the top of the second inning. With Death Valley leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a slider from 30-year old right-handed pitcher Harold Smith and swatted a double to left. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Scorpions ahead, 4-0.

"We took home the win," said Angle. "What's not to like?"
