Ranas Win, Hitchcock [BOT] goes 3-for-4

The Puerto Rico Ranas powered past the Florida Flamingos, 9-5, at Florida Man Park. Ted Hitchcock [BOT] was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4, to lead the charge. The win went to Jerry Berry [BOT] in relief, making him now 1-2. Hank [BOT] took the loss for Florida. The Ranas have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 5th win in 20 games.
With Puerto Rico leading 6-5 in the top of the ninth, Hitchcock [BOT] hit a 2-run single off Florida hurler Hank [BOT]. It was the 19th hit of the season for Hitchcock [BOT] and put his team ahead, 8-5.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Hitchcock [BOT] told the Puerto Rico News.
