Hepcats Deal Lemurs 10-6 Loss
|
The Kansas City Hepcats defeated the Louisville Lemurs, 10-6, in 10 innings. Martin Walker, who is tied for 6th in the MiLPBE in extra base hits with 9, played a big role. Walker was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Hepcats in the win. Kansas City reliever Nicaragua del Toro was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Hank Hill. The win lifts Kansas City to a record of 11-10.
Super Creek came through with a big-time hit for Kansas City. The first baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 9-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Hepcats manager .
