Puerto Rico Picks Up Another L
|
The Brew City Bears dealt the Puerto Rico Ranas a 6-5 loss at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House. J.B. Rainier, who is tied for 9th in the MiLPBE in bases on balls with 13, was the star on offense. He went 3-4 with 3 singles. He scored 2 times. Jack Dupp, the winner, is now 4-0. He struck out 7 and walked 2 over 5 innings, while allowing 5 runs on 5 hits. Daniel Martin earned the save for Brew City, his 2nd of the year.
Brew City catcher Tater MacCheesy contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to left-center field for a run-scoring double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Bears ahead, 6-1.
"Same old, same old, unfortunately," said losing manager .
To call the performance of the 2074 Ranas disappointing is an understatement.
