At Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium, the Puerto Rico Ranas and Amarillo Armadillos were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Amarillo Armadillos downed the Puerto Rico Ranas, 9-1, at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium. Stellar pitching by Marsh Mellow Jr. had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 7th in the MiLPBE in quality starts with 3, handcuffed his opponent all game. In 7.1 innings, Mellow Jr. surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run.

Amarillo third baseman Gibson Doubleneck helped his team get ahead early. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
