Despite a great performance by Amarillo left fielder Jed Bowal, the Louisville Lemurs defeated the Armadillos by the score of 7-6 at The Burrow Presented by the PBE Bigger Strange Pod. Bowal went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Samuel Smoltz picked up the win with 5.2 innings of work. He allowed no runs on 4 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 1. On the season, he is now 3-1. Gunther Gerhardt closed the game out for Louisville, earning his 3rd save.

Abe Ghosty dealt the Armadillos a blow in the top of the eighth. Batting with the bases loaded and Louisville leading 5-0, Ghosty, who is tied for 4th in the MiLPBE in hits with 38, hit a 1-0 sinker for a 2-run single.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager .

The win puts Louisville at 14-8 this season.
