Wheelers Walk It Off for 15th Win of Season
|
In a tight tilt between the Anchorage Wheelers and the Amarillo Armadillos, Teddy Mantle was the deciding factor. The Anchorage right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The Armadillos have now dropped 7 straight.
Brayden Verity was the walk-off hero for Anchorage. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Wheelers designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This was a tough loss," said Amarillo manager . "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
