Raptors Make Rougarous 3-1 Losers
|
The Boise Raptors got a magnificent performance from pitcher The Phantom, who muffled the New Orleans offense en route to a tight 3-1 Raptors win at Full Moon Stadium. Phantom, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. The loss drops New Orleans to 2-5.
A Starting Pitcher, the two-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Pitcher contributed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Boise up, 2-0.
"We had a good game plan," Phantom said, "and we were able to execute it."
