The Nashville Stars topped the Outer Banks Aviators, 4-1, in Champions Conference action at The Island. The standout performance belonged to Nashville pitcher and Wilson, North Carolina, native Warren Peace. Peace yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 1-1. Outer Banks is now 3-4.
Ford Lincoln-Mercury had a direct impact on the outcome. Lincoln-Mercury contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Nashville up, 2-0.
