Firehawks Take Down Kingpins, 3-2
California and Chicago duked it out and the Firehawks came out victorious.

The California Firehawks faced a tough opponent in Chicago pitcher Avery Time, but did just enough to pull out the victory at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons by a final score of 3-2. Time went 6.1 innings and allowed no runs. Claudio Kilgannon earned save number 2 this season.

The Firehawks beat the Kingpins in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Devante Moore produced in the bottom of the eighth. Batting against Bodhi Grizz, Moore gave his team the lead, 3-2, when he hit a 2-run single.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Moore.

The Firehawks now have a record of 14-8 with the win over Chicago.
