Hepcats Deal Flamingos 2-1 Loss
|
The Kansas City Hepcats earned a win at Florida Man Park, knocking off the Florida Flamingos, 2-1. On the bump for Kansas City was right-hander Matt Buster. He had a starring role in the triumph. Buster yielded 1 run over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-2. Poe Poe earned save number 3 this season.
Kansas City used a clutch at-bat from Hendy Rickerson (BOT) to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Hepcats ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We found a way to win tonight," Rickerson (BOT) said.
The win lifted the Kansas City record to 13-10.
