The Kansas City Hepcats faced a tough opponent in Brew City pitcher Masahiro Sato, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House by a final score of 3-2. Sato went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run. William Nilliam picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Daniel Martin was tagged with the loss. The loss makes Brew City 13-11.

Kansas City used a timely hit from Homer Slamson to get the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Hepcats ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Good teams find a way to win close games," Slamson said.
