Wheelers Suffer 6-0 Home Defeat

Moe Mentum was terrific for the Florida Flamingos in his team's 6-0 triumph over the Anchorage Wheelers. His performance earned Mentum rave reviews. The winning pitcher was Mentum, now 2-0. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 4. With the win, Florida raised its record to 16-8.
Wowbert Belle had a big 3-run home run for the Flamingos in the top of the sixth inning. With Florida leading 3-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a fastball from Brad Van de Hat, who is tied for 7th in the MiLPBE with a 6.9 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Flamingos on top, 6-0.
"When I throw strikes I'm good, if I don't I'm not very good," said Mentum. "So I just have to throw strikes."
