Firehawks Come Up Short at Brew City, 5-4
The Brew City Bears and California Firehawks obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.

Kanutake MeHire had a good game, but he could not keep the California Firehawks from falling, 5-4, to the Brew City Bears at The Tap House. The California second baseman went 4-5 with 4 singles in the loss. Pedro Peregrino picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-0. Rusty Shackleford was tagged with the loss. Winnie the Pabst closed it out for his 1st save.

The Bears got a big at-bat from left fielder Xicoyotl Montalbán. For the game, Montalbán went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Brew City a 4-3 lead.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said California manager .

The Bears bumped their record to 13-11 with this win.
